The Libyan–European Forum on Transport and Communications will hold its third annual edition on January 30–31, 2026, in Malta, under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport, the French Business (MEDEF), and the Union of European Transport Companies.
This year’s forum will bring together a number of European and Libyan companies and institutions from the communications and information technology sectors, along with experts in transport and communications, to strengthen and expand partnerships between the Libyan and European sides.
The discussions will focus on the transport and communications sectors and the mechanisms for keeping pace with rapid global technological developments, as well as their positive impact on driving sustainable economic growth in Libya.
The forum will address the role and plans of the telecommunications sector in promoting integration with the transport sector, showcasing development and investment programs, exploring the implementation of modern global technologies, and drawing on the experiences of international and local experts.
Sessions will be moderated by specialists in transport and communications, with the forum aiming to support Libya’s national strategies and projects, and to discuss solutions to challenges facing these sectors.
The event will also highlight the programs and strategies of the Holding Company in improving infrastructure, advancing the national digital vision, and developing transportation systems across related companies and institutions. It will emphasize expanding investment opportunities, particularly in technological innovation and smart transport services, in line with global trends in transport and communications.
